ORDINANCE NO. 69- 57() <br />BY • dd <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TR.AFFIC CODE OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO, SECTION 335.01 <br />( CODIFIED ORDINANCE ), ENTITLED " OPER.ATOR OR <br />CHAUFFEUR LICENSE REQUIRED ", TO COIVFORM TO <br />CHANGES ENACTED BY THE OHIO GENERAL ASSEMBLY, <br />AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 65-300, SECTIOIV <br />335.01 ( CODIFIED ORDINANCE ), AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGEN CY. <br />WHEREAS, Council has determined that it is in the best interest <br />of the City of North Olmsted that the North Olmsted Traffic Code be reviewed <br />to eliminate an conflicts with provisions of the State Statutes, as enacted <br />by the Ohio General Assembly. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City <br />of North-.Olmsted, State of Ohio : <br />Section 1. That Section 335.01, Chapter 335 ( Codified Ordiance ) <br />of the North Olmsted Traffic Code reading as follows: <br />335.01 LICENSE REQUIRED ; POSSESSION OF MORE <br />THAN ONE LICENSE PROHIBITED. <br />No person, except those expressly exempted under Ohio <br />R. C. 4507.03 to 4507. 05 , inclusive, shall drive any motor <br />vehicle upon a street or highway in this City unless such <br />person, upon application, has been licensed as an operator <br />or chauffeur by the Ohio Registrar of Motor Vehicles pur- <br />suant to Ohio R.C. Chapter 4507 ( Driver's License Law ). <br />No person shall receive an operator's or chauffeur's license <br />unless and until he surrenders to the Registrar all valid <br />licenses in his possession issued to him by another jurisdiction <br />recognized by the State of Ohio. No person shall be permitted <br />to have in his possession more than one valid license at any <br />time. ( ORC 4507.02 ) <br />be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />335.01 OPERATOR OR CHAUFFEUR LICENSE REQUIRED ; <br />RESTRICTION VIOLATION; POSSESSIOIV OF MORE <br />THAN ONE LICENSE PROHIBITED. <br />( a) No person, except those expressly exempted under Ohio <br />R. C. 4507.03 to 5407. 05, inclusive, shall drive any motor <br />vehicle upon a street or highway in this Municipality unless <br />such person, upon application, has been licensed as an <br />operator or chauffeur by the Ohio Registrar of Motor Vehicles - <br />pursuant to Ohio R. C. Chapter 4507 ( Driver's License Law ). <br />After January 1, 1969, no person, except those expressly ex- <br />empted under Ohio R. C. 4507.03 to 5407. 05 , inclusive, shall <br />drive any motorcycle upon a street or highway in this <br />Municipality unless such person, upon application, has been <br />licensed as a motorcycle operator by the Ohio Registrar of <br />Motor Vehicles pursuant to Ohio R. C. Chapter 4507 <br />( Driver's License Law ). ( ORC 4507.02 )
