ORDINANCE NO. 69- 57() BY • dd AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TR.AFFIC CODE OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO, SECTION 335.01 ( CODIFIED ORDINANCE ), ENTITLED " OPER.ATOR OR CHAUFFEUR LICENSE REQUIRED ", TO COIVFORM TO CHANGES ENACTED BY THE OHIO GENERAL ASSEMBLY, AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 65-300, SECTIOIV 335.01 ( CODIFIED ORDINANCE ), AND DECLARING AN EMERGEN CY. WHEREAS, Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the City of North Olmsted that the North Olmsted Traffic Code be reviewed to eliminate an conflicts with provisions of the State Statutes, as enacted by the Ohio General Assembly. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of North-.Olmsted, State of Ohio : Section 1. That Section 335.01, Chapter 335 ( Codified Ordiance ) of the North Olmsted Traffic Code reading as follows: 335.01 LICENSE REQUIRED ; POSSESSION OF MORE THAN ONE LICENSE PROHIBITED. No person, except those expressly exempted under Ohio R. C. 4507.03 to 4507. 05 , inclusive, shall drive any motor vehicle upon a street or highway in this City unless such person, upon application, has been licensed as an operator or chauffeur by the Ohio Registrar of Motor Vehicles pur- suant to Ohio R.C. Chapter 4507 ( Driver's License Law ). No person shall receive an operator's or chauffeur's license unless and until he surrenders to the Registrar all valid licenses in his possession issued to him by another jurisdiction recognized by the State of Ohio. No person shall be permitted to have in his possession more than one valid license at any time. ( ORC 4507.02 ) be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: 335.01 OPERATOR OR CHAUFFEUR LICENSE REQUIRED ; RESTRICTION VIOLATION; POSSESSIOIV OF MORE THAN ONE LICENSE PROHIBITED. ( a) No person, except those expressly exempted under Ohio R. C. 4507.03 to 5407. 05, inclusive, shall drive any motor vehicle upon a street or highway in this Municipality unless such person, upon application, has been licensed as an operator or chauffeur by the Ohio Registrar of Motor Vehicles - pursuant to Ohio R. C. Chapter 4507 ( Driver's License Law ). After January 1, 1969, no person, except those expressly ex- empted under Ohio R. C. 4507.03 to 5407. 05 , inclusive, shall drive any motorcycle upon a street or highway in this Municipality unless such person, upon application, has been licensed as a motorcycle operator by the Ohio Registrar of Motor Vehicles pursuant to Ohio R. C. Chapter 4507 ( Driver's License Law ). ( ORC 4507.02 )
