` CITY OF NORTH dLMSTEb <br />? <br />ORDINANCE NO.69-58 ' <br />Patrolmen for Second Year <br />Patrolmen after Second Year <br />School Guards <br />Auxiliary Police <br />Police Matron <br />Full time Police Officers <br />working for the City of <br />North Olmsted during off <br />duty hours <br />Secretary <br />Clerk <br />Revised <br />PAGE 2 <br />$8,000.00 Annually <br />$9, 000 . 00 Annually <br />$ 1. 90 per hour <br />$ 2.15 per hour <br />$1. 35 to 2.50 per hour <br />$ 3. 20 per hour <br />$4,300.00 to 5,500.00 peryear <br />$4, 000. 00 to 4, 800. 00 per year <br />which salaries shall be payable by the Director of Finance semi-monthly. <br />A. Any of the above, with the exception of the school guards and <br />auxiliary police, shall while on duty as plain clothes detectives be paid <br />additional compensation at the rate of $300.00 annually for all time spent <br />as plain clothes detectives or as Juvenile Officer. <br />B. Full time employees of the Police Department having completed <br />five years of full time continuous service as employees of said department shall <br />be paid an ddditional 3% of their base annual salary, thereafter until completion <br />of the tenth year of full time continuous service, after which such employees <br />shall receive 4% of their base annual salary, thereafter until the completion of <br />the 15th year of full time continuous service, and thereafter 5% of their base <br />annual salary until after the conpletion of the 20th year of full time continuous <br />service, and during each year of full time service thereafter they shall receive <br />6% of their base annual salary as longevity increments. <br />C. The Secretarial or Clerical help of the Police Department of the <br />City of North Olmsted shall receive as a longevity increment, the sum of $25.00. <br />This longevity ;increment shall be payable over and above any, annual salary or <br />hourly salary paid to said secretary or clerical help and shall be at the rate of <br />$25.00 for each and every year said secretary or clerical help has been con- <br />tinually employed by the City of North Olmsted. <br />D. In computing length of service for the purpose of making payments <br />of longevity increments hereinabove set forth , no crediit shall be given for part- <br />time services, but such limitation is only for the purpose of computing longevity <br />increments and the exclusion for part-time service shall not deprive any employee <br />of any other benefits which may be due them for part-time service as employees <br />in the Safety Department. <br />E. In addition to the regular base salary plus increments and other <br />wage increases, all regular employees of the Police Department, including <br />officers shall on their original appointment and during the first calendar year <br />during their appointment receive $300.00 clothing allowance and shall during <br />each calendar year thereafter, receive a clothing allowance of $200. 00 to be <br />determined and disbursed by and with the approval of the Police Chief of the <br />Department. <br />F. For each full time member of the Police Department ( excluding <br />Auxilary Police and School Guards ) the City of North Olmsted shall pay an <br />amount equal to a single person's rate per month towards the cost of Blue Cross <br />Hospitalization and Medical Mutual premiums of said members of the Police <br />Force, as established by Contract 52YS effective the 22nd of May, 1965. <br />Section 3. That employees of the Police Department of the City of <br />North Olmsted be reimbursed, not to exceed $3.00 per day, for per diem ex- <br />penses while in attendance at the Police training school established by the <br />Cuyahoga County Commissioners at Wester Reserve University, which school <br />is for a two week period vvith 10 days class a.Etendance. <br />Section 4.
