lool- <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 69-1 f <br />BY <br />? <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CODE OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO, SECTION 375.06 <br />?? <br />( CODIFIED ORDINAN CE ), ENTITLED RIDING REGULATIONS, " <br />TO CONFORM TO CHAIVGES ENACTED BY THE OHIO GENERAL <br />ASSEMBLY, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, Council has determined that it is in the best interest <br />of the City of North Olmsted that the North Olmsted Traffic Code be reviewed <br />to eliminate any conflicts with provisions of the State Statutes, as enacted <br />by the Ohio General Assembly. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City <br />of North Olmsted, State of Otiio: <br />Section 1. lhat Section 375.06 , Chapter 375 ( Codified Ordinance ) <br />of the North Olmsted Traffic Code reading as follows: <br />375.06 RIDING REGULATIONS. <br />"( a) A person operating a motorcycle shall not ride other <br />than astride a permanent and regular seat attached <br />thereto, or carry any other person upon such motor- <br />cycle other than upon a firmly attached and regular <br />seat thereon, nor shall any person ride upon a motor- <br />cycle other than upon such a firmly attached and <br />regular seat. <br />( b) No motorcycle shall be used to carry more persons <br />at one time than the number for which it is designed <br />and equipped. <br />( c) No person shall engage in trick riding or operate a <br />motorcycle without both hands upon the handle qrips, <br />except when necessary to qive the hand signals, re- <br />quired herein, or while carrying packages, bundles or <br />articles, at which time at least one hand must be kept <br />on the handle bars. " <br />be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />375.06 RIDING UPON SEATS ; MOTORCYCLE HANDLE BARS ; <br />HELMETS AND GLASSES ; RIDING REGULATIONS. <br />( a) A person operating a bicycle or motorcycle shall not ride <br />other than upon the permanent and regular seat attached <br />thereto, nor carry any other person upon such bicycle or <br />motorcycle other than upon a firmly attached and regular <br />seat thereon, nor shall any person ride upon a bicycle <br />or motorcycle other than upon such a firmly attached and <br />regular seat.
