OR <br />mi <br /> <br />completion of the probationary period, seniority shall be <br />retroactive to the date of hire. <br />22. The City shall provide the Union with a copy of the <br />seniority lists and these lists shall be updated every six <br />months. The seniority lists shall be made up by classifications <br />and shall contain in order of dato of hire, the name, department, <br />date of hire and classification sdniority date of each employee. <br />23. Continuous service and seni;arity shall be broken when <br />an employee: <br />(a) Quits or resigns; <br />(b) Is discharged for just cause; <br />(c) Is laid off for a peri':od equal to the amount <br />of seniority held at t!he time the lay-off <br />commences, or twenty-four (24) consecutive <br />months, whichever is 1'ess; <br />(d) Fails to report to wor'',k within seven (7) <br />calendar days when req,alled from lay-off <br />by certified mail addrlessed to the employee's <br />last known address as ?shown on the City's <br />records, unless the employee is unable to <br />work due to medically ?roven disability; <br />(e) Is absent without report for three (3) <br />consecutive work aays unless the employee <br />has a reasonable excusle for failing to <br />report the absence. <br />24. The City shall advise the Union in writing of additions <br />to or deletions from the seniority'list at the end of each pay <br />period. A copy of the list of add!,itions and/or deletions will <br />be sent to the Local Union Presideht and the Local Union <br />Treasurer. <br />-12- ? <br />' Vi
