The <br /> City, however, agrees that for purposes <br /> of overtime work, the same shall be <br /> voluntary. Employees assigned to leaf <br /> collection will have the opportunity to <br />.r volunteer on a weekly basis. If the <br /> volunteer list consists of at least <br /> seventy-five percent (750) of those <br />? bargaining unit employees needed to main- <br /> tain five (5) leaf pick-up crews, then <br />,.. in that event the same shall remain <br /> voluntary. If, hvwever, the seventy-five <br /> percent (750) requirement is not realized, <br /> then the City shall be free to revert to <br /> the provisions contained in Paragraph 32. <br />?. <br />32. The City shall endeavor, insofar as it may be practicable, <br />- to make a generally equitable distribution of overtime work <br />?. <br />among employees within a classification and department who are <br />? <br />capable of performing the available work satisfactorily. <br />? <br />?,. Employees who are offered overtime and for any reason refuse <br />-- or fail to work, shall be credited with the overtime as if they <br />am had worked, for the purpose of overtime distribution. In the <br />event that a sufficient number of employees are not available <br />? <br />within the classifications for the overtime assignment, <br />c{ualified employees from a different classification and/or <br />?- department shall be offered the overtime work and the overtime <br />opportunity shall be distributed as equitably as possible. <br />.. <br />The City shall maintain lists by classification showing the <br />? <br />overtime hours of each employee. All overtime hours shall be <br />.. <br />recorded on a daily basis. The overtime lists shall be posted <br />?- at each work location (Service Garage, Plant and Systems) and <br />shall be kept current on a daily basis. <br />? <br />?„ -17-
