?'4 n <br />1 <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 81- 44 <br />PAGE 2. <br />moo* <br />be and the same is hereby amended and as amended shall read as <br />follows: <br />1353.12 MAINTAINING GRADE LINES ESTABLISHED BY CITY; <br />PERMIT AND DEPOSIT REQUIRED. <br />When the City Engineer has set and finally determined and <br />established the finished grade line of any parcel of real estate, <br />lot or land within the City, thus providing for the drainage of <br />surface water therefrom, the owner, occupant or any other person <br />in charge of such premises shall continue to maintain and adhere to <br />such finished grade line of such premises and shall further keep a11 <br />drains, ditches, swales or other surface water conductors open, free <br />and clear of any and all obstructions. <br />Any builder, contractor, landscaper or owner doing any grading, <br />regrading, landscaping or sodding or performing any other work affect- <br />ing drainage of any parcel of land in the City shall, prior to doing <br />any such work, obtain from the City Engineer a permit to perform such <br />work. Such person shall furnish a plan of the parcel of land upon <br />which the work is to be performed. The plan shall show all data <br />necessary to determine the extent and character of the work to be done <br />and its effect upon drainage. As a condition for issuance of a permit <br />for grading, regarding, landscaping, sodding and other such work, the <br />person performing such work shall deposit with the City Engineer the sum <br />of sixty dollars ($60.00). <br />Such deposit shall be used for checking of plans, establishing <br />finished grades, where necessary, and inspection and/or surveys. Costs <br />shall be calculated at thirty dollars ($30.00) per hour for the City <br />Engineer, forty dollars ($40.00) per hour for the survey crew and <br />twenty dollars ($20.00) per hour for inspection. <br />If work does not conform to the approved plans and the deficiencies <br />are not corrected within fifteen days after rec{uest by the City Engineer, <br />then the City Engineer shall cause the deficiencies to be corrected <br />as provided in Sections 1353.13 and 1353.14.
