'f- ' <br />authorization cards voluntarily executed by an employee for that <br />purpose and bearing his signature, provided that any employee <br />shall have the right to revoke such authorization during any <br />thirty (30} to forty-five (45) day period prior to the expiration <br />of any collective bargaining agreement by giving written notice <br />to the union with proof of service pursuant to ORC Section 4117. <br />Section 2. Deductions under this Article 4 shall be' made <br />during the second pay period of each month, but if an employee's <br />pay for that period is insufficient to cover Union dues, the City <br />will make a deduction from the pay earned during the next period <br />or a subsequent period. All deductions under this Article <br />accompanied by an alphabetical list of all employees for whom <br />deductions have been made, shall be transmitted to the Union no <br />later than the fifteenth (15) day following the end of the pay <br />period in which the deduction is made, and upon receipt, the <br />Union shall assume full responsibility for the disposition of all <br />funds deducted. <br />Section 3. The Union will indemnify and save the City <br />harmless from any action growing out of deductions hereunder and <br />commenced by an employee against the City or the City and the <br />Union jointly. <br />Section 4. If on or after July 19, 1989, at least eighty- <br />five percent (85%) of all bargaining unit employees are members <br />of the Union, as evidenced by executed membership cards, union <br />authorization cards, check-off cards or dues check-off list, <br />then, effective July 19, 1989, or thereafter, when `the required <br />eighty-five percent (85%) is met: <br />- 3 - <br />
