// , <br />1 <br />All bargaining unit employees who are not members of <br />the Union shall pay a fair share fee to the Union in the <br />amount certified by the Union as being properly chargeable <br />as a fair share fee. All employees hired after the <br />effective date of the Contract who. do not become members of <br />the Union shall pay the fair share fee, effective sixty (60) <br />days from the employee's date of hire, as a condition of <br />'employment. The deduction of the fair share from any <br />earnings of the employee shall be automatic and does not <br />require a written authorization for payroll deduction. <br />Payment to the Union of fair share fees shall be made in <br />accordance with Section 1 and 2 above. <br />ARTICLE 5 - BULLETIN BOARDS <br />Section 1. The City shall provide the Union three (3) <br />enclosed and locked bulletin boards: one (1) in the City Hall; <br />one (1) in the Police Station; and one (1) in the Recreation <br />Department, for notices of Union business, including notices of <br />Union meetings, elections, and other Union-related matters. All <br />notices or other materials posted must be signed and dated by a <br />Union officer or steward. Upon request by the City, the Union <br />shall remove any posting that is inflammatory or critical of the <br />City, City officials, or of any other employees or persons, or <br />which are political (partisan) in nature. <br />ARTICLE 6 - UNION REPRESENTATION <br />Section 1. Employees selected by the Ur~.ion to act as Union <br />representatives for the purpose of processing grievances under <br />the Grievance Procedure shall be known as Stewards.
