<br />Section 2. If any employee is discharged or quits during <br />the probationary period described in Section 1 above, and is later <br />rehired, he shall be considered as a new employee and subject to <br />the provision of Section 1. <br />ARTICLE 9 - SENIORITY <br />Section 1. Only regular full-time employees of the City <br />shall, have seniority. Students, summer employees and part-time <br />employees shall have no seniority rights. Part-time employees are <br />those employees who are regularly scheduled to work twenty (20) <br />hours or less per week. A regular full-time employee is one who <br />is scheduled for forty (40) hours of work per week. <br />Section 2. Seniority shall mean an employee's uninterrupted <br />length. of continuous service with the City measured from his last <br />hiring date as a full-time employee. An employee shall have no <br />seniority for the probationary period provided in Article 8, <br />section 1, but upon completion of the probationary period,. <br />seniority shall be retroactive to the date of hire. <br />Section 3. The City shall provide the Union with a copy of <br />the seniority lists and these lists shall be updated every six <br />months. The seniority lists shall be made up by classifications <br />and shall contain in order of date of hire, the name, department, <br />date of hire and classification seniority date of each employee. <br />Seniority lists shall be posted on each Union Bulletin Board. <br />Section 4. Continuous service and seniority shall be broken <br />when an employee: r <br />a. Quits or resigns; <br />b. Is discharged for just cause; <br />- 11 - <br />e <br />
