shall govern. If no employee who applies has the necessary skill <br />or ability, the City shall have the authority to hire outside the <br />bargaining unit. <br />Section 3. An employee awarded a job under Section 2 above, <br />will be given reasonable help and supervision and shall be <br />allowed a reasonable period of time to qualify but not more than <br />thirty (30) working days. He will be considered to have <br />qualified on the new job when he satisfactorily performs the <br />required duties with no more supervision than is required by <br />other qualified employees on the same or similar jobs, and when <br />his record as to quality and quantity of work meets the standard <br />applicable to the job. If he fails to so qualify, he shall be <br />returned to his former job. An employee awarded a job under the <br />provisions of this Article shall receive at the time of his <br />promotion the appropriate rate of pay in the classification. <br />Section 4. No employee shall be eligible for promotion <br />under these provisions until he has satisfactorily completed the <br />required probationary period. <br />ARTICLE 15 - VACATIONS <br />Section 1. Regular full-time employees shall be granted <br />vacation leave with full pay as provided by North Olmsted <br />Ordinance 83-31. However, vacation carry-over is limited as set <br />forth in Section 2 below. Pay in lieu of vacation is limited to <br />conditions as set forth. <br />One through four years <br />Five through nine years <br />- 2 calendar weeks <br />- 3 calendar weeks <br />- 20 - <br />
