B-3 <br />POSITION TITLE: CHIEF INSPECTOR <br />RESPONSIBLE TO: CITY ENGINEER <br />RESPONSIBLE FOR: Inspection of all Construction Activity under <br />the jurisdiction of the City, Division of <br />Engineering. <br />Description of Duties• <br />1. .Supervise and coordinate the activities of the Division of <br />Engineering Inspectors. <br />2. Review construction plans and specifications of all projects <br />submitted to the Division of Engineering with respect to <br />construction standards and methods. <br />3. Inspect all new construction which will be dedicated to <br /> public use or for City maintenance. <br />4. Inspect all new construction which will be dedicated to <br /> public use or for City maintenance. <br />5. Arrange for all necessary testing ,of materials and <br /> construction under the jurisdiction of the Division of <br /> Engineering. <br />6. Review and file inspection records and reports. <br />7. Advise the City Engineer as to the acceptability of <br /> construction to be approved by the Division of Engineering. <br />8. Other duties as assigned. <br />- 47 - <br />
