(a) If a day recognized as a holiday by the terms <br />of this Agreement falls within an employee's <br />vacation leave, the employee shall not be <br />credited with a vacation day and will be paid <br />for the holiday at the straight time rate. <br />(b) An employee may have the option of using a <br />personal day as a day of extended vacation. <br />(c) An employee may have the option of using one <br />half (1/2) of his accrued vacation in one day <br />increments. An employee will give the supervisor <br />at least twenty-four (24) hours advance notice. <br />ARTICLE 22: HOLIDAYS <br />Section 1: All regular full-time employees shall be <br />entitled to the following paid holidays: <br />New Year's Day <br />President's Day <br />One-half (1/2) day Good Friday <br />Memorial Day <br />Independence Day <br />Labor Day <br />Thanksgiving Day <br />One-half (1/2) day Christmas Eve <br />Christmas Day <br />Employee's Birthday <br />Section 2: An employee in the Waste Water Treatment Plant <br />or the Service Department who may be scheduled to work a full day <br />on Good Friday or Christmas Eve will receive compensatory time <br />off. <br />30 <br />
