required for the rendering of a fair and equitable decision. <br />Within ten (10) days from the date of such hearing, the <br />Safety Director shall issue a written decision upon such <br />grievance, with copies to the aggrieved party and all parties <br />present. <br />ARTICLE ~~ <br />ARBITRATION PROCEDURE <br />16.1. If a grievance is unresolved by the Grievance <br />Procedure, the aggrieved party may submit the grievance to <br />arbitration not less than ten (10) days following the completion <br />of the above procedure. <br />16_.2. The request for arbitration shall be made by written <br />notice to the~Safety Director and to the American Arbitration <br />Association:.: <br />16.3. The Arbitrator shall be selected by the parties from a <br />list of seven (7) names submitted by the American Arbitration <br />Association. <br />16.4. Either party may reject the list and request another <br />from•the American Arbitration Association. <br />16.5. All other procedures relative to the hearing shall be - <br />according to the rules and regulations of the American Arbitration <br />Associat~ton. , <br />16.6. The Arbitrator has no authority to alter the specific <br />terms of this Agreement, or to make any award requiring thej <br />., <br />commission of any act prohibited by law, or to make any award that <br />~ itself is contrary to law or violates any of the terms and <br />conditions of this Agreement. <br />- 21 - <br />
