CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE N0. 83-34 BY: Mr. McKa AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted is the recipient of a grant from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Office of Litter Control, and WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted must enter into an agree- ment with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Office of Litter Control, for the period from April 1, 1983, through December 31, 1983, in compliance with the terms and conditions of the grant. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCiL OF TI-IE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION l: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement, a copy of which is attachecl hereto and marked Exhibit "A°°; with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Office of Litter Control, to comply with the terms and conditions through which grant funds are to be received, from April l, 1983 through December 31, 1983. SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the further rea- son that it is immediately necessary so that program implementa- tion may begin by April 1, as stipulated under the terms and con- ditions of the grant, and further provided it receives the affir- mative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
