BIER.MAN <br />AN ORDINANCE FSTABLISHING THE ORGANIZATION AND <br />COMPOSITION OF THF POLICE DEPARTMENT; SALARIES <br />AND VAP.IOUS BENEFITS FOR THE MEMBERS OF THE POLICE <br />DEPARTMENT; VARIOUS RULES, REGULATIONS AND EMPLOYEE <br />RIGHTS, AND DF.CLARING AN EMERGENCY, AS AMENDED. <br />NOia, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, <br />COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: The Organization Chart for the Police Department of the City of <br />North Olmsted shall be as follows: <br />A. The Organizational Chart for the Police Department and the personnel set <br />forth in the Organizational Chart shall consist of the Chief of Police who shall <br />be in charge of the entire Police Department. <br />B. The Chief of Police shall also be in charge of all non-uniform personnel <br />in accordance with ordinance establishing same, by the Council of the City of <br />North Olmsted. <br />C. The Chief of Police shall also be in charge of the General Duty Uniform <br />Roster, which shall consist of: two (2) Captains, three (3) Lieutenants, four <br />(4) Sergeants, between twenty-eight (28) and thirty-four (34) Patrolmen. <br />D. The Chief of Police shall also be in charge of a Detective Bureau con- <br />sisting of six (6) of the police personnel mentioned in Section 1 C above. One <br />(1) member of the Detective Bureau shall serve as the Juvenile Officer of the <br />North Olmsted Police Department. <br />E. The Police Department, as constituted herein, sha11 be classified by the <br />Director of Public Safety, as required by law. <br />SECTION 2: That Council does hereby establish salaries for the various members <br />of the Police Department covering the remainder of 1983 and the same shall be as <br />follows: <br />A. Effective July 4, 1983, through December 31, 1983, the various salaries <br />shall be fixed as follows: <br />Chief of Police <br />Captains <br />Lieutenants <br />Sergeants <br />Patrolmen - First Year <br />Patrolmen - Second Year <br />Patrolmen - After Second Year <br />$35,241.00 annually <br />31,187.00 annually <br />28,353.00 annually <br />25,776.00 annually <br />17,186.00 annually <br />21,436.00 annually <br />23,432.00 annually <br />B. Effective January l, 1984, the various salaries shall be fixed as follows: <br />Chief of Police <br />Captains <br />Lieutenants <br />Sergeants <br />Patrolmen - First Year <br />Patrolmen - Second Year <br />Patrolmen - After Second Year <br />$37,534.00 annually <br />33,216.00 annually <br />30,196.00 annually <br />27,451.00 annually <br />18,303.00 annually <br />22,829.00 annually <br />24,955.00 annually
