Any sworn full-time employee shall, while on duty as Plainclothes <br />Detectives, be paid additional compensation at the rate of $400.00 annually for <br />all time spent as Plainclothes Detectives or as Juvenile Officers. <br />D. That all full-time sworn employees of the Police Department having <br />completed five (5) years of full-time continuous service, as employees of said <br />Department, shall be paid an additional four percent (4%) of their base annual <br />salary; thereafter until completion of the tenth (lOth) year of full-time con- <br />tinuous service, after which such employee shall receive five percent (5%) of <br />their base annual salary; thereafter until the completion of their fifteenth <br />(15th) year of full-time continuous service, such employee shall get six percent <br />(6%) of their base annual salary until after the completion of the twentieth <br />(20th) year of full-time continuous service, and during each year of full-time <br />service thereafter they shall receive seven percent (7%) of their base annual <br />salary as longevity increments. <br />E. In computing length of service for the purpose of making payments of <br />longevity increments hereinabove set forth, no credit shall be given for part- <br />time service, but such limitation is only for the purnose of computing longevity <br />increments and the exclusion for part-time service shall not deprive anv employee <br />of any other benefits which may be due them for part-time service as employees in <br />the Safety Denartment. <br />F. In addition to the regular base salary, plus increments and other wage <br />increases, full-time sworn employees of the Police Department, shall, on their <br />original appointment, and during the first calendar year thereafter, receive a <br />clothing allowance of three hundred seventy-five dollars ($375.00) in 1983, to be <br />determined and disbursed by and with the approval of the Police Dhief of the <br />Department. <br />G. That effective July 4, 1983, the City of North Olmsted shall pay the full <br />amount of hospitalization costs, with a deductible clause, including a standard <br />dental clause, of all full-time emnloyees of the North 0lmsted Police Department <br />with either Blue Cross and Medical Mutual Hospital.ization Plan, the Kaiser Community <br />Health Foundation Plan or other commercial plan. Nothing contained herein shall be <br />construed so as to afford said coverage to either Auxiliary Police, School Guards, <br />or other part-tirne or temporary employees. <br />H. That all full-time sworn employees of the North Olmsted Police Department <br />shall be entitled to certain holidays during the year and shall not be required <br />to work on these holidays, unless scheduled to work by the Chief of Police. In the <br />event the employee either works or was not scheduled to work for reasons other than <br />holiday leave on one of the following holidays, then the employee shall receive another <br />day off from work to replace the holiday he worked or was not required to work for <br />reasons other than holiday leave. The scheduled holidays are as follows: <br />New Year's Day; President's Day; Good Friday; Memorial Day, Independence <br />Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; Christmas Day; Veteran's Day; the <br />employee's birthda_y; and the employee's personal use day. This provision <br />does not apply to Auxiliary Police or School Guards. <br />The holiday schedule for full-time secretarial and clerical heln shall be <br />in accordance with the Ordinance establishing same. Furthermore, all sworn Police <br />Officers, except the Chief of Police, shall receive additonal four (4) hours, <br />straight time pay if required to work eight ($) hours or more on Thanksgiving and <br />Christmas or receive time off if approved by Chief of Police.
