Any sworn full-time employee shall, while on duty as Plainclothes Detectives, be paid additional compensation at the rate of $400.00 annually for all time spent as Plainclothes Detectives or as Juvenile Officers. D. That all full-time sworn employees of the Police Department having completed five (5) years of full-time continuous service, as employees of said Department, shall be paid an additional four percent (4%) of their base annual salary; thereafter until completion of the tenth (lOth) year of full-time con- tinuous service, after which such employee shall receive five percent (5%) of their base annual salary; thereafter until the completion of their fifteenth (15th) year of full-time continuous service, such employee shall get six percent (6%) of their base annual salary until after the completion of the twentieth (20th) year of full-time continuous service, and during each year of full-time service thereafter they shall receive seven percent (7%) of their base annual salary as longevity increments. E. In computing length of service for the purpose of making payments of longevity increments hereinabove set forth, no credit shall be given for part- time service, but such limitation is only for the purnose of computing longevity increments and the exclusion for part-time service shall not deprive anv employee of any other benefits which may be due them for part-time service as employees in the Safety Denartment. F. In addition to the regular base salary, plus increments and other wage increases, full-time sworn employees of the Police Department, shall, on their original appointment, and during the first calendar year thereafter, receive a clothing allowance of three hundred seventy-five dollars ($375.00) in 1983, to be determined and disbursed by and with the approval of the Police Dhief of the Department. G. That effective July 4, 1983, the City of North Olmsted shall pay the full amount of hospitalization costs, with a deductible clause, including a standard dental clause, of all full-time emnloyees of the North 0lmsted Police Department with either Blue Cross and Medical Mutual Hospital.ization Plan, the Kaiser Community Health Foundation Plan or other commercial plan. Nothing contained herein shall be construed so as to afford said coverage to either Auxiliary Police, School Guards, or other part-tirne or temporary employees. H. That all full-time sworn employees of the North Olmsted Police Department shall be entitled to certain holidays during the year and shall not be required to work on these holidays, unless scheduled to work by the Chief of Police. In the event the employee either works or was not scheduled to work for reasons other than holiday leave on one of the following holidays, then the employee shall receive another day off from work to replace the holiday he worked or was not required to work for reasons other than holiday leave. The scheduled holidays are as follows: New Year's Day; President's Day; Good Friday; Memorial Day, Independence Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; Christmas Day; Veteran's Day; the employee's birthda_y; and the employee's personal use day. This provision does not apply to Auxiliary Police or School Guards. The holiday schedule for full-time secretarial and clerical heln shall be in accordance with the Ordinance establishing same. Furthermore, all sworn Police Officers, except the Chief of Police, shall receive additonal four (4) hours, straight time pay if required to work eight ($) hours or more on Thanksgiving and Christmas or receive time off if approved by Chief of Police.
