.. . ? ? <br />Any newly hired employees in the bargaining unit shall, within <br />sixty (60) days of date of employment, either elect to become <br />members of the F.O.P. or remit the fair share fee. As provided <br />in Ohio Revised Code §4117.09(C), nothing in this Article shall <br />be deemed to require any employee to become a member of the <br />F.O.P. <br />The Employer agrees to deduct F.O.P. dues and fees <br />from any member of the bargaining unit who provides written <br />authorization for a payroll dues and fees deduction. The, <br />F.O.P. shall indemnify the City and hold it harmless against <br />any and all claims, demands, suits or other liability that may <br />arise by reason of any action of the City in complying with the <br />provisions of this Article. <br />ARTICLE IV <br />WORK WEEK; SCHEDULED HOURS <br />1. For purposes of this Agreement, a work day is <br />defined as a continuous eiaht (8) hour period in any <br />twenty-four (24) hour period and a work week is defined as <br />forty (40) hours. <br />2. Compensation for regularly scheduled eight (8) <br />hour days shall be at the straight-time rate of pay. <br />ARTICLE V <br />OVERTIME; EXTRA DUTY <br />1. All full-time employees, with the exception of <br />the Chief, shall be paid one and one-half (1-1/2) times their <br />regular rate of pay for all hours required to be worked in <br />-3-
