y • . <br />CITY UF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 84 - 17 <br />PAGE 3 <br />issue a permit or perrnits for such connection upon proper <br />application by the Bank or Savings & Loan. <br />(c) Connection to the police emergency alarm panel shall be <br />contingent upon the applicant having obtained permission from <br />the company which maintains the alarm panel in the police <br />station to make such a connection. Permission shall not be <br />denied provided equipment is compatible, and provided charges <br />are paid to said company, and provided a permit has been <br />issued by the Safety Director or his authorized <br />representative. <br />(d) Banks or Savings & Loans only will be issued permits to <br />connect to the emergency alarrn panel in the North Olmsted <br />Police Department. Subscribers or users presently connected <br />to the ernergency alarm panel rnay continue this service iahen a <br />permit is issued. <br />(e) A charge of ten dollars ($10.00) shall be assessed each <br />month to the subscriber or user connected to the police <br />eriergency alarm panel. Any charge which remains unpaid <br />thirty (30) days after date of invoice shall result in <br />cancellation of the service. <br />559.06 CENTRAL/LOCAL ALAKMS <br />(a) A Local Alarri is an alarm that is not connected to the <br />Police Emergency Panel or to a Central Alarm Station, and <br />which, wlien activated, sounds a horn, bell, buzzer or other <br />type audible alarm. <br />(b) A perrriit shall be required for the installation of a <br />local alarrn if the sound created by the alarm is audible <br />beyond the premises served. Tne Safety llirector or his <br />authorized represenative shall issue a permit for such an <br />alarn upon proper application, provided the intensity of <br />sound does not exceed Sixty-five (65) decibels at any <br />location outside the premises being served. <br />(c) Central Alarm Station System means a facility operateci <br />by an alarrn dealer for the purpose of receiving alarni signals <br />From a subscriber and relaying information concerning such <br />signals to the North Olmsted Police Department for response <br />to the scene. Central Alarm System subscribers shall be <br />required to obtain a percnit for the installation of a Central <br />Alarm Station System. <br />559.07 FALSE ALARMS <br />(a) A charge of Twenty-five dollars ($25.00) shall be <br />assessed for each false alarm received through Local Alarms, <br />the Police Emergency Panel, the Central Alarm Station System, <br />or for each false alarm received on any other alarm service <br />which the City has given permission to be installed.
