CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 84 -17 <br />PAUE 7 <br />short flasties of light, wind noises such as the rattling or <br />vibrating or doors or windows, vehicular noice adjacent to <br />the installation or other forces unrelated to genuine alarms. <br />(c) The Chief of Police or any officer designated by hirn <br />shall have the authority, at reasonable time and upon twenty- <br />four (24) hour oral notice, to enter upon any pre?nises within <br />the City, to inspect the installation and operation of any <br />alarm system covered by this Ordinance. <br />(d) lf any provision of this Ordinance is for any reason <br />held invalid by any court of cornpetent jurisdiction, such <br />provision shall be deemed a separate, distinct and <br />independent provision, and such holdind shall not affect the <br />validity of the remaining provisions. <br />559.12 RULES AidD REGULATIONS <br />The Safety Director or his authorized representative shall <br />make and enforce such rules and regulations as he or she nay <br />deem necessary for the enforcement of the provisions hereof, <br />and for the proper determination and collection of fees and <br />charges herein provided. <br />559.13 LIABILITY <br />The issuance of aiiy permit or permits in conjunction with <br />this Ordinance shall not constitute acceptance by the City of <br />any liability to inspect, maintain or repair equipment, to <br />answer alarms or for any personal injury or Property damage <br />resul.ting in any way in connection with any alarm system(s). <br />559.14 EXCEPTIONS <br />(a) This Ordinance shall not apply to the use of alarm <br />systems by law enforcement personnel for law enforcement <br />purposes. <br />(b) This Ordinance shall not apply to alarm systems <br />installed in motor venicles, boats or aircraft. <br />599.99 PEiVALTY <br />In addition to being assessed for false alarms, whoever <br />violates any provision of this Ordinance shall be builty of a <br />r;iinor nisdemeanor. <br />SECTION 2: That Chapter 559 as previously adopted is hereby <br />repealed. <br />SECTION 3: `1"hat this Ordinance shall take effect and be in <br />force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
