: ? • ? ? ? ? ? <br />(c) Before commencement of construction of a private sewage dis- <br />posal system the owner shall first obtain a written permit signed by <br />the Service Director. The application for such permit shall be macie <br />on a form furnished by the City, which the applicant shall supplement <br />by any plans, specifications and other information 8eemed necessary by <br />the Service Director. A permit and inspection fee of fifty dollars <br />($50.00) shall be paid to the Service Director at the time the <br />application is filed. <br />(d) A permit for a private sewage disposal system shall not <br />become effective until the installation is completed to the satisfac- <br />tion of the Service Director. He shall be allowed to inspect the work <br />at any state of construction and, in any event, the applicant for the <br />permit shall notify the Service Director twenty-four hours prior to <br />the time when the work is ready for final inspection and before any <br />underground portions are covered. The inspection shall be made within <br />forty-eight hours of the receipt of the notice by the Service Director. <br />(e) When a public sewer becomes available to a property served by <br />a private sewage disposal system, as provided in subsection 911.05 (d) <br />hereof, the building sewer shall be connected to such sewer within 180 <br />days of official notice in compliance with this chapter and any septic <br />tanks, cesspools and similar private sewage disposal facilities shall <br />be cleaned of sludge and removed or abandoned and filled with suitable <br />material in accordance with the requirements of the Ohio Department of <br />Public Health. <br />(f) The owner shall operate and maintain the private sewage dis- <br />posal facilities in a sanitary manner at all times, at no expense to <br />the City. <br />(g) No statement containeci in this section shall be construed to <br />interfere with any additional requirements that may be imposed by the <br />County Health Officer. <br />911.07 BUILDING SEWERS AND CONNECTIONS. <br />(a) No unauthorized person shall uncover, make any connections <br />with or opening into, use, alter or disturb any public sewer or <br />appurtenance thereof without first obtaining a written permit from the <br />Service Director. <br />(b) There shall be two classes of building sewer permits: <br />(1) For residential and commercial service, and <br />(2) For service to establishments producing industrial <br />wastes. <br />In either case, the owner or his agent shall make application on a <br />special form furnished by the City. The permit application shall be <br />submitted by any plans, specifications or other information considered <br />pertinent in the judgment of the Service Director. A permit and <br />-14-
