<br />911.08 LIMITING SEWER CONNECTIONS. <br />? <br />The Service Director shall limit connections into sewer lines if <br />sufficient capacity to handle and treat additional wastewater is <br />unavailable in the system. <br />(a) Any person applying for a permit to connect to a public sewer <br />shall provide, with the application for said building sewer permit, <br />sufficient data, as required by the Service Director, regarding the <br />location and amount of flow to be conveyed to the public sewer. <br />(b) Any costs associated with 911.08 (a), herein, shall be borne <br />by the person applying for the building sewer permit. <br />911.09 USE OF THE PUBLIC SEWERS. <br />(a) No person shall discharge or cause to be discharged any <br />stormwater, surface water, ground water, roof runoff, subsurface <br />drainage, uncontaminated cooling water or unpolluted industrial pro- <br />cess waters to any sanitary sewer. <br />(b) Stormwater, surface drainage, subsurface drainage, ground- <br />water, roof runoff, cooling water and all other unpolluted drainage <br />shall be discharged to such sewers as are specifically designated as <br />storm sewers or to a natural outlet approved by the City Engineer. <br />Inc3ustrial cooling water or unpolluted processed waters may be dis- <br />charged, on approval of the City Engineer, to a storm sewer or natural <br />outlet. No persons shall use any such sewers without first having <br />obtained the consent and permits from the City Engineer. <br />(c) No person shall discharge or cause to be discharged any of <br />the following described waters or wastes into any public sewers: <br />(1) Any wastewater having a temperature which will inhibit <br />biological activity in the POTW treatment plant <br />resulting in interference; but in no case, wastewater <br />with a temperature at the introduction into the POTW <br />which exceeds 40 degrees C(104 degrees F). <br />(2) Any gasoline, benzene, naphtha, fuel oil or other flam- <br />mable or explosive liquids, solids or gases which by <br />reason of their nature or quantity are or may be <br />sufficient, either alone or by interaction, to cause <br />fire or explosion or be injurious in any other way to <br />the operation of the POTW. <br />(3) Any water or wastes containing free oils, emulsified <br />oils and grease exceeding an average of one hun8red <br />parts per million (833 pounds per million gallons) of <br />other soluble matter. <br />-21-
