CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDIPdANCE N0. 84-41 <br />PAGE 3 <br />SECTIOII 4. DESIGNATION OF CANDIDATES <br />Candidates for nominations to municipal offices shall have <br />their names printed on the official primary ballot in accordance <br />with the provisions of this Article by filing a declaration of <br />candidacy and paying the required fee. <br />SECTION 5. DECLARATION OF CANDIDACY <br />Each person desiring to become a candidate for a party <br />nomination to be voted for at a primary election, shall, not <br />later than 4:00 P.M. of the 60th day before the day of such <br />p.rimary election, file with the Board of Elections of Cuyahoga <br />County, Ohio, a declaration of candidacy and petition, which <br />petition shall be sibned by not less than seventy-iive (75) <br />qualified electors of the City of North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 6. N0MINATI11G PROCEBURE <br />Repealed. <br />SECTION 2: That if such amendment is approved by a majority <br />of the electors voting thereon at such election, it shall becorne <br />effective from and after the time of its approval by the <br />electors. <br />SLCTION 3: That the Clerk of Council is hereby authorized <br />and directed to cause a copy of the proposed Charter amendment to <br />be published in such manner as may be authorized by law. <br />SECTION 4: That the Clerk of this Council be and she is <br />hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of <br />this Ordinance to the Fioard of Ll.ections of Cuyahoga County. <br />SECTION 5; That the Board of Elctions is hereby requested <br />to cause appropriate notice to such election to be duly given in <br />accordance with law. <br />SECTION 6: That this Ordinance is hereby determined to be <br />an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of <br />the public peace, property, heal_th and safety of the City and for <br />tne further reason that this Ordinance must be immediately <br />effective in order to permit necessary arrangements to be made in <br />sufficient time for said election; wherefore, this Ordinance <br />shall take effect and be in force imrneniately upon its passage. <br />PASSED: <br />ATTEST: <br />FLORENCE CAMPBELL, CLERK OF <br />COUIdCIL <br />JAMES D.
