<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 84-64 <br />PAGE 2 <br />? <br />? <br />Commencing with the regular municipal election in the year <br />1987 and thereafter the Mayor, President of Council, the four (4) <br />members of Council elected from the several wards, the three (3) <br />members of Council elected at large, the Director of Law and the <br />Director of Finance shall be elected for a term of four (4) <br />years. Said individuals elected to said offices shall assume <br />office on the first day of January following their election. <br />SEC_ TI?N 2: That if such amendment is approved by a majority <br />of the electors voting thereon at such election, it shall become <br />effective from and after the time of its approval by the <br />electors. <br />SECTION 3: That the Clerk of Council is hereby authorized <br />and directed to cause a copy of the proposed Charter amendment to <br />be published in such manner as may be authorized by law. <br />SECTION 4: That the Clerk of this Council be and she is <br />hereby a-_uthorized and directed to forward a certified copy of <br />this Ordinance to the Board of Elections of Cuyahoga County. <br />SEC_ TI?N 5: That the Board of Elections is hereby requested <br />to cause appropriate notice of such election to be duly given in <br />accordance with law. <br />SECTION 6: That this Ordinance is hereby determined to be <br />an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of <br />the public peace, property, health and safety of the City and for <br />the further reason that this Ordinance must be immediately <br />effective in order to permit necessary arrangements to be made in <br />sufficient time for said election; wherefore, this Ordinance <br />shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage. <br />PASSED: <br />ATTEST: <br />FLORENCE E.
