rejects the arbitrator's recommendation, as hereinbefore provided, <br />the initial procedure of this paragraph shall be reinstituted <br />until a recommendation is accepted or an agreement is reached. <br />The City shall not arbitrarily or canriciously reclassify employees <br />or change job description during the life of this agreement. <br />HOSPITALIZATION <br />62. The City will provide for active full-time regular <br />employees medical, surgical and hospitalization insurance at <br />the same level of coverage in effect on July 18, 1983. The <br />premiums for single person and family coverage will be paid <br />by the City until July 18, 1985. The employees will have <br />ten dollars ($10.00) deducted from their paychecks on the first <br />pay of the month, starting January of 1984, as their contribution <br />to the cost of insurance. This nrovision sha]1 nnlv be effective <br />if Safety Forces of the City make the same form of contribution <br />to their Health Insurance by accepting a deductible on benefits <br />or contributing toward premium payments. <br />JURY OR WITNESS PAY <br />63. An employee called for jury duty shall be granted a leave <br />of absence for the period of jury service and will be compensated <br />at full pay for absences necessarily caused by the jury duty. <br />An employee who is required to be absent from scheduled work to <br />serve as a witness called by a party in litigation will be paid <br />for time lost from scheduled straight time work. An employee <br />who is called as a witness due to his part-time employment in the <br />area of public or private law enforcement shall not receive <br />witness pay from the City. <br />-32-
