CITY OF NORTH OLMSTE'? ORDINANCE N0. 83 - 31 BYc MR. WILAMOSKY AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A NEW AND REVISED SECTION 161.03 OF THF. CODIFIED ORDINANCES ENTITLED "EMPLOYEE'S VACATIONS: EXCEPTIONS". AS AMENDED. WIiEREAS, there has been aome confusion in the past with respect to employee'a vacation benefits; and ? WHEREAS, i[ is the desire of this Council [o specifically set forth employee'a benefits relating to vacations so that there will be no confuaion in the fu[ure as to precisely wha[ vacation allowances are granted. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF NORTH OL14STF.D, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA ANI) STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That there is hereby adopted a new and revised Sec[ion 161.03 entitled "Employee's Vaca[ions; Excep[ions", which new and revised section shall read as follows: 161.03 Employee's Vacations; Exceptions Unless otherwise provided in these Codified Ordinances, salaried and hourly employees of the North Olmsted Bus Line, as well as those employees included in the Memorandum of Undera[andinq between the City and the bargaining unit in the Deoartment of Public Service, all employees of the City shall be given the following paid vacations: (A) Full [ime employees who have completed one full year of employment are entitled to two weeks vacation; said vacation shall be taken during the second year of employment. (B) Full time employees who have completed two full years of employment are entitled to two weeks vacation; said vacation shall be taken durinq the third year of employment. (C) Full time employees who have completed three full years of employment are entitled to tWO veeks vacation; said vacation shall be taken during the fourth year of employmen[. (D) Full time employees who have completed four full veare of employment are entitled to [wo weeks vaca[ion: said vacation shall be taken during the fif[h year of employment. (E) Full time employees who have completed five full years of employment are en[itled to three weeks vacation; said vacation shall be taken during the sixth year of employment. (F) Full time employees who have completed six full years of employment are entitled to three weeks vacation; said vacation shail be taken during [he seventh year of employment. (G) Full time employees vho have completed seven full years of employment are entitled to three weeks vaca[ion: said vacation shall be [aken durinp, [he eigth year of employmen[. (H) Full [ime employees who have comple[ed eight full years of employment . are entitled [o three weeka vaca[ion; said vacation shall be taken during [he ninth year of employment. APPENDIX B-15
