CITY OF NOR'IH OLb6TED ORDINANCE N0. 85 - 8 6 PAGE 12 Temporary develapment signs, annoimcing a praposed building, a building imder construction or advertis- ing the sale, rental or lease of a building, or part thereof, shall be located on the lot occupied by the building or use advertised and shall not exceed forty (40) square feet in total area for each street frontage. Permanent signs, indicating name, owner or manager shall be permitted; size and design, however, shall first have to be approved by the Building Official. (G) Signs in business districts may be located on the surface of, or project from, the building wall adjacent to a street, a pedestrian way or adjacent to a parking area, or erected on ground supports in yards as herein regulated. The maximum dimensions set forth shall include the struc- tural members imless otherwise indicated. 1. Flat or wall signs, shall not project more than eig teen in es 8") in front of the building wall and not project beyond any building corner. A sign may extend above the top of the front wall but not more than twenty percent (20%) of its total height ma.y be extended above the wall, provided further that the sign is set back from each side lot line and party wall line at least equal to the dimensions that the sign projects above tfie top of the wall. 2. Ground signs, shall not be located closer than seven eet ') from a public right of way and shall not be closer than five feet (S') from another business lot, nor sha11 a groimd sign be closer than five feet (S') from a driveway and not closer than twenty-five feet (251) from a Residential District line and shall not exceed ten feet (101) in height.
