? . ,,. . . <br />? <br />Page 15 <br />ASTICLE XRI% <br />Equipment and Gear <br />The Employer shall furnish and maintain at no cost to the Employee <br />all gloves, helmets, protective clothing and other protective <br />equipment necessary to preserve and protect the safety and health of <br />the Employee as determined by the Fire Chief. <br />ASTICLE RXX <br />Compensatory Time <br />30.1 Each Employee shall have the right to convert Overtime hours into <br />Compensatory Time with the approval of the Fire Chief or his <br />designee. <br />30.2 Employees may have the right to take Compensatory Time when the time <br />off does not interfere with the operation of the Fire Department. <br />The taking off of such Compensatorq Time shall be sub3ect to the <br />approval of the Fire Chief or his designee. Overtime shall be <br />converted to Compensatory Time at the rate of one and one-half hours <br />per hour converted. <br />ARTICLE RXRI <br />Impasse Procedure <br />31.1 If the parties to this Agreement are unable to reach a new agreement <br />fifty-five Days prior to ezpiration of this agreement, a mediator, <br />from a list of five mediators supplied by the State Employment <br />Relations Board, shall be selected by alternate striking of names by <br />each party. <br />31.2 If the mediator advises the State Employment Relations Board that an <br />impasse exists or not later than thirty-five Days prior to the <br />expiration date of this Agreement, the parties shall select a <br />fact-finder from a list of five supplied by the State Employemnt <br />Relations Board by alternate striking by each party. Should the <br />parties be unable to agree on a fact-finder, the State Employment <br />Relations Board shall provide another list for alternate striking by <br />both parties. Should the parties be unable to agree on a <br />fact-finder within five Days from the receipt of said list, the <br />State Employment Relations Board shall appoint a fact-finder. The <br />fact-finder shall follow the rules and guidelines as set forth in <br />Section 4117 of the Bevised Code and the State Employment Relations <br />Board Sules. The fact-finder may attempt mediation at any time <br />during the fact-finding process. From the time of appointment until <br />the fact-finder makes a final recommendation, he shall not discuss <br />the recommendations for settlement of the dispute with parties other <br />than the direct parties of the dispute.
