<br />,.,? . <br />Page 14 <br />Duty. For an Employee on Light duty to return to fnll duty status, <br />the Employee must snbmit written permission fcom his physician <br />reinstating him. <br />25.2 My Employee assigned Light Duty shall continue to receive all <br />compensation and fringe benefits, including accumulation of <br />Senioritiy attached to his normally assigned position. The <br />assignment must be approved and defined by the Fire Chief and return <br />to full duty work caa be mandated bq a physician selected by the <br />Employer. <br />ABTICLE XRVI <br />EXPENSE &EIMBUBSEMENT <br />26.1 Fire Cadets shall receive $3.00 per Day for ezpenses while in <br />attendance at a state certified fire fighters training school as <br />mandated by law. <br />26.2 Should a Fire Cadet be required to travel round trip from N.O.F.D. <br />#l to school, the Employer shall reimburse at the rate per mile <br />established from time to time for each mile over and above the <br />travel distance to Tri-C Yestern Campus unless the Cadet travels in <br />an Employer owned vehicle. <br />26.3 Should a Fire Cadet be required to be away from his residence <br />overnight for such schooling the Employer shall pay all costs for <br />meals, housing, and transportation. <br />AbtTICLE XgVII <br />Court Leave <br />27.1 The Employer shall grant leave with the Basic Hourly Rate of Pay <br />plus Longevity or Overtime Pay (as applicable) to an Employee for <br />the period of time he is required to appear before a court, judge, <br />justice, magistrate or coroner as a plaintiff, defendanti or witness <br />in matters directly relating to his 3ob as an Employee of the <br />Employer. <br />27.2 The Employer shall grant leave with the Basic Hourly Rate of Pay <br />plus Longevity to an Employee for the period of time he is required <br />to appear for jury duty. <br />ARTICLE RRVIII <br />Continuing Education <br />The Employer shall provide continuing education for those Employees <br />that are required to recertify in areas that require mandatory <br />recertification for the Employee to maintain employment. Cost for <br />continuing education shall be paid by the Employer and if said - <br />education requires the Employee to attend classes above and beyond <br />his Normal Work Schedule, he shall be paid Overtime Pay. The <br />education must be approved in advance by the Fire Chief or his <br />designee. _
