zy?l <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ?-{ <br />ORDINANCE N0. 86 - 92 <br />BY: MAYOR PETRIGAC <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1213.04 OF THE ZONING <br />CODE OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ENTITLED "IMPROVE- <br />MENTS OF PARKING AREAS" OF CHAPTER 1213 ENTITLED <br />"DETAILED REQUIREMENTS", AS AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor has recommended to this Council that the Zoning <br />Code be changed to provide for a ten (10) foot green strip area between <br />the right-of-way and the parking area of businesses located within the City <br />rather than the current seven (7) foot requirement that exists; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council agrees that the current seven (7) foot green <br />area should be expanded to ten (10) foot. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BX THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That Section 1213.04 of the Zoning Code entitled <br />"Improvements of Parking Areas" which now reads: <br />1213.04 Improvement5 of Parking Areas. <br />"All parking areas and access driveways, except for one <br />and two-family dwellings, shall be constructed of <br />concrete or ashphalt pavement. Parking areas shall be <br />graded to provide drainage so that injury will not be <br />caused to adjacent properties nor will water drain <br />across a public sidewalk. Parking areas having a <br />capacity of ten (10) or more automobiles shall provide <br />bumper guards or curbs around the parking areas to <br />prevent vehicles projecting into required yards and to <br />define parking areas. The Planning Commission may <br />require landscape features, such as compact hedge, <br />informal shrubs, or screening by a substantially solid <br />fence between such parking areas and a side or rear lot <br />of a residential district. <br />The driveways, parking area pavement, curbs and bumper <br />guards shall be constructed in accord with standards <br />established by the Engineering Department of the <br />municipality. <br />Driveways for one and two-family dwellings to the extent
