CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 86 - 92 <br />PAGE TWO <br />located within street lines shall be of such character <br />as may be required by rule of the Planning Commission. <br />A seven (7) foot wide area between the street right-of- <br />way line and the parking area shall be required, and <br />this seven (7) foot strip shall remain unpaved and shall <br />be landscaped and maintained in such a way so as to <br />prevent unchanneled motor vehicles ingress and egress." <br />be and the same is hereby amended and as amended shall read as follows: <br />1213.04 Improvements of Parking Areas. <br />All parking areas and access driveways, except for one <br />and two family dwellings, shall be constructed of <br />concrete or asphalt pavement. Parking areas shall be <br />graded to provide drainage so that injury shall not be <br />caused to adjacent properties nor water be caused to <br />drain across a public sidewalk. Parking areas having a <br />capacity of ten (10) or more automobiles shall provide <br />bumper guards or curbs around the parking areas to <br />prevent vehicles projecting into required yards and to <br />define parking areas. The Planning Commission may <br />require landscaped features, for screening purposes, <br />such as compact hedges, informal shrubs or substantially <br />solid wooden fences at heights to be determined by the <br />Planning Commission, between such parking area and a <br />side or rear lot line of a residential district. <br />The driveways, parking area pavement, curbs and bumper <br />guards shall be constructed in accord with standards <br />established by the Engineering Department of the <br />municipality. <br />Driveways for one and two-family dwellings to the extent <br />located within street lines shall be of such character <br />as may be required by rule of the Planning Commission. <br />A ten (10) foot wide area between the street right-of- <br />way line and the parking area shall be required, and <br />this ten (10) foot strip shall remain unpaved and shall <br />be landscaped and maintained in such a way so as to <br />prevent unchanneled motor vehicles ingress and egress. <br />SECTION 2: Any other ordinance or parts of ordinances or resolution <br />or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. <br />;.
