<br />a <br />Page 16 - <br />ARTICIE X7CIII <br />ASSOCIATION BUSINESS AND MEEfiIl~TGS '` <br />23.1 Two (2) members of the Association elected by the Association for the <br />purpose of negotiating with the Moyer shall be allowed time off for <br />all meetings with the F~nployer which shall be mutually set by the Dmployer <br />and the Association, provided the Association members r~na3n in service. <br />23.2 The FFh~loyer agrees that the Association shall be permitted to hold <br />meetings at the fire house as long as the meetings do not interfere with <br />the regular activities of the Fire Department- <br />23.3 Such meetings must be approved in advance by the Fire Chief and are <br />limited to members of the Association, unless otherwl.se approved by the <br />Fire Chief. <br />ARTICLE XXIV <br />HOURS OF WORK <br />24.1 For the calendar year - 1987, the basic work week for employees assigned <br />to platoon duty shall be an average of fifty-six (56) hours. <br />24,2 Beginnir~g~January 1, 1988, the basic work week for F~nployees.assigned to <br />platoon duty shall be an average~of fifty-two (52) hours. <br />24..3 bnployees assigned to Fire Prevention duty sha11 work a forty (40) hour <br />week. <br />24.4 Twenty-four (24) hour shifts shall commence at 0800 hours IN ACCO~ANCE <br />WITH THE NORMAI~ { SCI~fJf~. <br />24.5 In order to facilitate-the work .week of fifty-two (52) hours. effective <br />January 1, 1988, Flnplo~rees shall be entitled to additional time -off with <br />pay, kr~aHm as Kelley Days . :All Kelley .Days shall be 'taken during the <br />year of entitlement, shall not accrue ft~om year to year, and shall be <br />scheduled by the F~T~OYII3. <br />24.6 The gnployer shall annually provide each employee with a thirteen (13) <br />day cycle schedule ca®encing on January 1, 1988, snd indicate the <br />thirteen (13) day cycles in which the employee IS SCHEdUI~D his Kelley <br />Days. <br />24.7 Should an gnployee'select aholiday or vacation, or use an accunulated <br />sick d,ay during the thirteen ('13) day cycle in which he is entitled to <br />a Kelley Day, the Employee may reschedule such Kelley Day subject to <br />normal scheduling considerations. <br />
