_ Page 17 24.8 Should the Fire Chief find it necessary to place an employee on a forty (40) hour schedule for purposes of training or light duty, the employee ~ shall receive sufficient notice indicating the beginning and end of such forty (40) hour schedule. 24.9 F]nployees shall have the right to exchange hours when, in the opinion of the Shift Captain, such changes do not interfere with Fire Department operations. All such changes are sub~ect to the approval of the Fire Chief or his desigiee. No overtime shall be allowed and no additional cost is to be incurred by the Dmployer due to such changes. ARTICLE XXV LIGHT TxFi'Y 25.1 If Light Duty is available, or at the Fire Chief's discretion, an gnployee may be assigned Light Duty.. He shall first submit a request to the Fire Chief with corroboration from the Flnployee's physician as to why and haw long the D~loyee will be on Light Duty. For an ~loyee on Light Duty to return to full duty status, the F~nployee must submit written permission from his physician reinstating him. 25.2 Any ~nnployee assigned Light Duty shall continue to receive all and fY~inge benefits, including aceturnzlation of Seniority attached of n~sion normally assigned position. The assignment must be approved and defined by the Fire Chief and return to full duty work can be mandated by a pY~ysician selected by the L]nployer. ARTICLE XXVI 26.1 Cadets shall receive $3.00 per Day for expenses while in attendance at a state certified fire fighters training school as mandated by law. 26..2 Should a Cadet be required to travel round trip from N.O.F.D. #1 to school, the F~nployer steal]. reimburse at the rate per mile established from tame to time, unless the Cadet travels in an gaployer owned vehicle. 26.3 Should a Cadet be required to be away from his residence overnight for such schooling the IIriployer shall .pay all costs for meals, housing and transportation. ARTICLE XXVII COiIRT IEAVE 27.1 The F2~layer shall grant leave with the Basic Hourly-Rate of Pay plus Lot~evity or Overtime Pay (as applicable) to an ~nplayee for the period of time he is required to appear before a court, fudge, justice, magistrate ~_ or comer as a plaintiff, defendant or witness in matters directly relating to his fob as an IInployee of the D~loyer.
