In ell departments, vacations must be scheduled with and <br />authorized by the department head. Schedules are to be coordinated so as <br />not to disrupt necessary City services or functions of th department. <br />ARTICLE R <br />LUMP SUM PAYMENT <br />1. Any employee, at the time of his retirement, may elect <br />to receive all benefits due him in one lump sum payment. <br />2. Any employee who submits in writing in the year 1987 <br />that he has selected the lump sum payment pension option, shall upon his <br />retirement receive all benefits entitled to him as of the 198? Contract, <br />and they will be protected from loss due to any future contracts. <br />ARTICLE RI <br />HEALTH INSURANCE <br />1. The City shall pay the full amount of hospitalization <br />costs of all full-time sworn members of the North Olmsted Police <br />Department for a family hospitalization plan, with either the Blue <br />Cross/Medical Mutual hospitalization plan or the Kaiser Community Health <br />Plan or other Commercial Plan, the choice of which will be at the option <br />of the respective employee. If the monthly coverage costs should exceed <br />$220.73 a month for family coverage and $83.71 per month for single <br />coverage, the City shall institute a deductible program of $100.00 per <br />person, per year, with a $200.00 per family, per year maximum. <br />-10- <br />
