~, <br />O <br />the employee shall not be credited with a vacation day and <br />will be paid for the holiday. <br />(b) An employee may have the option of using a per- <br />sonal day as a day of extended vacation, with prior approval <br />of his department head. <br />(c) An employee may have the option of using one <br />week of his vacation in increments of less than one week; for <br />example, one or two days at a time. An employee will give <br />the supervisor at least forty-eight (48) hours' advance - <br />~= <br />notice in writing. In an emergency situation verbal communi-T <br />cation with the supervisor is appropriate and may justify ---- <br />waiving advance notification. <br />unT r n n vc <br />S0. All regular full-time employees shall be entitled to <br />the following paid holidays: <br />New Year's Day <br />Presidents' Day <br />Good Friday one-half day <br />Memorial Day <br />Independence Day <br />Labor Day <br />Thanksgiving Day <br />Christmas Eve one-half day <br />Christmas Day <br />Employee's birthday <br />In addition to the above holidays, a regular full-time <br />employee shall be entitled to observe a personal day as a <br />holiday with pay in each of:the years (January, 1987 through <br />July 18, 1989) covered by the terms of this Memorandum. The <br />personal day shall be scheduled by mutual agreement between <br />the employee and his supervisor. <br />51. If an employee does not use sick leave time for a <br />six-month period from January 1st to June 30th, or for a <br />six-month period from July 1st to December 31st, he shall <br />receive two personal days off.
