. ~ <br />qualified employees on the same or similar jobs, and when <br />his record as to quality and quantity of work meets the <br />standard applicable to the job. If he fails to so qualify, <br />he shall be returned to his former job. An employee awarded <br />a job under the provisions of Paragraph 46 shall receive at <br />the time of his promotion the appropriate rate of pay in the <br />classification. <br />45. No employee shall be eligible for promotion under <br />these provisions until he has satisfactorily completed the <br />required probationary period. <br />,~-_ <br />T <br />VACATIONS <br />46. Regular full-time employees shall be granted vacation <br />leaves with full pay as provided by North Olmsted Ordinance <br />83-31. However, vacation carry-over is limited as set forth <br />in Paragraph 47 of this contract. Pay in lieu of vacation <br />is limited to conditions as set forth. .__ <br />One through four years Two calendar weeks <br />Five through nine years Three calendar weeks <br />Ten through fourteen years Four calendar weeks <br />Fifteen through twenty years Five calendar weeks <br />Twenty-one years through Six calendar years <br />infinity <br />47. An employee shall become eligible for vacation leave <br />on his anniversary date and vacation leave shall be taken by <br />the employee with twelve (12) months thereafter. However, <br />employees shall be permitted to carry over SO% of their <br />annual vacation eligibility in a given year to be used during <br />the subsequent year. <br />48. If an employee is terminated (voluntarily or invol- <br />untarily) prior to taking his vacation and has completed one <br />(1) year of employment with the City, he shall receive the <br />prorated portion of any accrued but unused vacation at the <br />time of separation. In case of death of an employee, the <br />unused vacation leave shall be paid to the estate. <br />49. (a) If a day recognized as a holiday by the terms <br />of this Memorandum falls within an employee's vacation leave, <br />- 18 - <br />
