, <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 88 - 52 <br />BY: <br />AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A NEW AND REVISED CHAPTER 1115 <br />OF THE ZONING CODE OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />TITLED "DEFINITIONS". <br />WHEREAS, this Council in the process of making several zoning changes, <br />believes there is a need for an additional definition within this Section <br />entitled "Landbank"; and <br />WHEREAS, in order to accomplish same this Council is adopting the <br />within new and revised Chapter 1115 of the Zoning Code of the City of North <br />Olmsted. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That there is hereby adopted a new and revised Chapter 1115 <br />of the Zoning Code of the City of North Olmsted, which new and revised <br />Chapter shall read as follows: <br />1115.01 DEFINITIONS. <br />(a) For the purpose of the Zoning Code, certain terms and words are <br />hereby defined. Words used in the present tense include the future; the <br />singular number includes the plural and the plural, the singular; the words <br />"used for" include the meaning "designed for"; the word "structure" <br />includes the word "building." <br />(1) "Accessory building" means a subordinate building, the use of <br />which is customarily incidental to the use of the main building <br />and is located on the same lot as the main building. <br />(2) "Accessory use" means a subordinate use customarily incident to <br />the main use. <br />(3) "Alter" means any changes in or additions to structural parts, or <br />change in type of construction, except for minor repairs, changes <br />or additions not involving any of the aforesaid features. <br />(4) "Basement" means a space with a floor level two feet or more below <br />grade level, but having less than half its clear height above <br />grade level. <br />(5) "Boardinghouse" means a one or two family dwelling in which rooms <br />or lodging are rented on a weekly or monthly basis to not more <br />than two persons and the serving of ineals to such person for <br />compensation but providing there are not independent cooking <br />facilities for any roomer or boarder. <br />(6) "Breezeway" means a covered passage, open on two sides or enclosed <br />by glass or screening, connecting two buildings. <br />(7) "Build" includes establish, construct, erect, assemble, arrange, <br />reconstruct, enlarge and alter. <br />(8) "Building" means a roofed structure designed, built or used for <br />the shelter of persons, animals or property of any kind or a
