combination of such uses. <br />(9) "Building line" means a line between which and the street line, or <br />lot line, no building or other structure, or portion thereof, <br />except as provided in the Zoning Code, may be erected and shall be <br />considered a vertical surface intersecting the ground on such <br />line. <br />(10) "Building Official" means the official, or his authorized <br />representative, charged with the administration and enforcement of <br />the Zoning Code and other ordinances, laws, rules and regulations <br />relating to or regulating the use, erection, construction, <br />alteration and repair fo any buildings, structures and equipment <br />therefor or the use of the land. <br />(11) "Carport" means a roofed open structure projecting from the side <br />or rear wall of a dwelling and is designed or used as a place for <br />storage of a motor vehicle. <br />(12) "Cellar" means a space having half or more than half of its clear <br />height below grade level. <br />(13) "Certificate of Occupancy" means a statement, signed by the <br />Building Official, setting forth either that a building complies <br />with the Zoning Code or that a building or parcel of land may <br />lawfully be employed for specific use or uses stated therein, or <br />both. <br />(14) "Cluster developments" means an area within "A" Residential Area, <br />only, which conforms to the platting ordinances of the City, and <br />which has been approved by the Planning Commission, the preplanned <br />development of which has been authorized by Council, containing <br />100 homes or more, whereby Council has permitted the developer to <br />build houses on land "B" area requirements or larger, as to width <br />and depth of the lot only, on the condition that the developer <br />deed to the City for school and recreational purposes, eithty-five <br />percent (85%) of the land difference between "A" district and the <br />size of the lots as developed which lots developed shall be no <br />less than "B" land area requirements, the site of the donated land <br />to be acceptable to Council, only, such site to have ingress and <br />egress to a public street, and where all other conditions of "A" <br />Residential District have been complied with except those herein- <br />before stated. <br />(15) "Country club" means property operated not for profit but for the <br />benefit of a defined membership offering facilities for outdoor <br />recreation including but not limited to golf, tennis, swimming and <br />archery and providing meals or entertainment only for members and <br />their guests. <br />(16) "Court" means an open unoccupied space, other than a yard, on the <br />same lot with a building unobstructed from the ground to the sky <br />and bounded on two or more sides by the exterior walls of a <br />builder. <br />(17) "Court, inner" means a court no part of which extends to a street <br />or alley or to a front or rear yard. <br />(18) "Court, outer" means a court no part of which extends to a street <br />2
