? . <br />BY: RALPH BOHLMANN <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 88- 9 <br />AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A NEW AND REVISED SECTIONS <br />1309.01, 1309.04 AND 1309.05 OF. THE BUILDING CODE <br />DEALING WITH THE UPDATING AND ADOPTING OF THE CURRENT <br />NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE. <br />WHEREAS, from time to time, the City if required to incorporate updated <br />changes in the National Electrical Code by incorporating changes in said <br />Code into the City's local ordinances; and <br />WHEREAS, the current changes in the National Electrical Code are <br />reflected in the adoption of Sections 1309.01, 1309.04 and 1309.05 embodied <br />herein. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That there is hereby adopted new and revised Sections <br />1309.01, 1309.04 and 1309.05 which new and revised code sections shall read <br />as follows: <br />1309.01 CURRENT EDITION ADOPTED. <br />There is hereby adopted and incorporated by reference as if <br />set out at length herein that certain code known as the National <br />Electrical Code, 1987 edition, as published by the National Fire <br />Protection Association, for the purpose of safeguarding persons <br />and property from hazards arising from the use of electricity, <br />subject to the modifications provided in Sections 1309.03 et seq. <br />1309.04 REQUIREMENTS FOR MULTIPLE RESIDENCES, ALL COMMERCIAL AND <br />INDUSTRIAL BUILDINGS. <br />All multiple residence buildings containing more than two <br />suites shall be wired in electrical metallic tubing or rigid metal <br />conduit for all wirings 110 to 220 volts or more. All commercial <br />and industrial buildings shall be wired in electrical metallic <br />tubing or rigid metal conduit for all wiring 110 to 220 volts or <br />more. NEC.348 Electrical Metallic Tubing, 345 Intermediate Metal <br />Conduit, 346 Rigid Metal Conduit, 350 Flexible Metal Conduit. <br />1309.05 BRANCH CIRCUITS. <br />National Electrical Code Article 210, Branch Circuits, is <br />amended by adding Sections 210-71, 210-53 and 210-73, as follows: <br />1
