.? <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 88- 8 <br />BY: RON TALLON <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE BUILDING CONIIMISSIONER TO <br />PROCEED WITH THE DEMOLITION OR REMOVAL OF THE DETACHED <br />GARAGE AND SINGLE DWELLING LOCATED AT 4712 DOVER CENTER <br />ROAD, IN THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 133.01 and 1331.99 <br />of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted, the Building <br />Commissioner has determined that the abandoned structures located at 4712 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio, the record title holder being Ken <br />Kreuger, are unsafe, dangerous to human life and hazardous to the safety, <br />health, and public welfare of the citizens of the City of North Olmsted; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, notice to repair, remove, or demolish said building was sent <br />via certified mail, return receipt requested to Ken Kreuger on October 26, <br />1987 at 2773 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio, ordering said title <br />holder to repair, remove, or demolish said buildings and to commence such <br />repair, removal, or demolition within sixty (60) days of receipt of said <br />notice; and <br />WHEREAS, said record title holder, Ken Kreuger failed to reverse the <br />Building Commissioner's order and also failed to further appeal the <br />decision of the Zoning Board of Appeals to a higher tribunal of competent <br />jurisdiction and this time has failed to comply with the order of the <br />Building Commission. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That Council deems it necessary to proceed with the <br />demolition and removal of the unsafe structures at 4712 Dover Center Road, <br />North Olmsted, owned by Ken Kreuger, whose mailing address is 2773 Dover <br />Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio, by reason of the fact that said <br />structures have been determined to be dangerous to human life and a hazard <br />to the public safety, health and welfare of the citizens of the City of <br />North Olmsted, Ohio, and that the cost of said demolition and removal be <br />paid from the General Fund of the City of North Olmsted and charged to the <br />owner as a special assessment or lien on such parcel of land and assessed <br />and collected in the manner or other assessments as provided by law.
