City of North Olmsted Ordinance No. 93-103 page 3 (a) Building vermits issued under this fee schedule shall expire as follows• (1) Homeowners' permit - three (3) months from the date of issuance. (2) All others as follows: A. Under $10,000 evaluation - four (4) months from the date of issuance B. $10,000 to $50,000 evaluation - six (6) months from the date of issuance C. Over $50,000 - nine (9) months from the date of issuance (Note: Two extensions equal to the original time period allotted may be granted provided circumstances warrant and it is requested in writing within ten (10) days of the expiration date. ) (b) Reinsuection fees (Not AMlicable to Homeowners' Permits: (1) If an inspection is requested and for any reason the work is found unsatisfactory or incomplete, a$10.00 fee shall be assessed. (2) If work is covered without benefit of an inspection, it sha11 be revealed and a $15.00 fee assessed. (3) For all permits where a final inspection has not been requested, in writing, prior to the expiration of the permit, an inspection shall be made fifteen (15) days after the expiration date and a$25.00 fee assessed. (Exception: Written request for an extension has been received.) (c) Inspection fees: (1) Advisory inspection (2) Certificate of occupancy $ 10.00 10.00 (d) Homeowners obtaining their own permits shall sign an affidavit stating they are performing all work. If a homeowner is acting as a general contractor, all subcontractors shall be registered and/or licensed and obtain the permits that they may be required for the work they perform. (e) Copies of contracts may be required by the Building Official to substantiate costs and establish who is responsible for the different phases of the project. ( fl Architectural Review Board: (1) Building and site plans $ 50.00 (2) Signs only 10.00 (g) Board of Zoning Appeals Fees: $ 30.00 (h) Board of Building Code Ap als: $ 30.00 (i) Penalty for Working Without a Permit Shall Be: $ 30.00
