r <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 93-96 <br />BY: MAYOR BOYLE <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING HEALTH CARE BENEFITS FOR <br />NON-BARGAINING EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted previously adopted Ordinance No. <br />89-84 and Ordinance No. 92-173 which provided for health care benefits for <br />non-bargaining unit employees; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to adopt a policy for <br />providing certain health care benefits to non-bargaining unit employees <br />which are consistent, and similar in nature with the policy established with <br />the unions through the collective bargaining process. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTI0N 1: That effective July 1, 1993, all non-bargaining unit <br />employees specified in Exhibit A, which is attached hereto and made a part <br />hereof. The employer shall provide either individual or family medical <br />medical insurance coverage at the employee's option for each full-time <br />employee. The employer shall have the option of seeking alternate health <br />insurance providers or plans and will attempt to offer at least two <br />different plans. The cost for the coverage of single and family <br />participants shall be paid according to the following schedule: <br /> If the expected Then all single Then all family <br /> cost of single or participants participants <br />Period familv exceeds shall contribute shall contribut <br /> e <br />7/1/93 - 6/30/94 $450/month 18.85/month 37.70/month <br />7/1/94 - 6/30/95 $520/month 21.75/month 41.50/month <br />SECTION 2,:, If the actual average monthly cost of cov erage for the time <br />periods listed in figure I, and the actual average cost is less than the <br />dollar figures listed within figure I; the employer shall refund the total <br />amount of the employee contribution. <br />If the actual average monthly cost of coverage for the time periods <br />listed in figure I, and the actual average cost fall between the dollar <br />figures listed within figure I and figure II, the employer shall refund to <br />the employee; the difference between the dollar figures listed in figure I <br />and figure II.
