Additionally, the Vyilmington site will include a large
dam processing center which will handle all East coast ATM business. The State of
Delaware is providing assistance in the development of the infrastructure to support
this center.
Green Machine Corporation is malong a strong bid to EPS for the Midwest
Processing ce.nter by offering its curnent facility in North Olmsted. 1fie facility
will house functions similar to those planned in Delaware and will be designed to
support the Midwest market, The offer would include the immediate expansion of
this facility from 12,000 square feet to approximately 28,000 squane feet. Included
in this expansion will be a fiill-scale data processing centez. This center, which will
initially house $S million to $6 million in data prooessing ecluiPment, will provide
data processing seavices to all EPS partnGrs and their clients west of Pennsylvania.
This includes the 200 clients of Green Ma,chine and their 1,400 ATMs, the 230
members of the OWL Network in Cincinnati and theu. 825 A1'Ms, and Banc One's
:,300 ATMs located in Ohio westward to Colorado, Teaas and Arizona.
? Three cnacal infiastructure factors have been identified by EPS as part of the
selection criteria for a midwest facility. The {ust is adequate space in a convenient
location. Green Machine's North Olmsted facilitjr meets this need by providing
cunent and future expansion options in a location conve.nient to interstates and
airports.
The second criteria is high capacity, reliable data communications services.
Ameritech Information Systems and their Ohio Bell subsidiary have proposed a
fiberoptic network for the Ohio Bell Central office currendy servicing the Green
Machine facility. A Fiber Ring Network has been pianned for this area, and the
second quarter 1993 completion date meets the needs of EPS.
The third infrastructure need is for a reliable, redundant power supply for the
facility. The ATM network is designed to be available 24 hours per day, seven
days per week. Intemaptions of any ldnd are not acceptable from a customer
service standpoint. EPS has specified the facility must have dual redundant power
feeds in addition to the supply cuirently in the building. Cleveland Electric
Illuminating Company has provided a proposal on how they can provide this level
of service.
