Upon request of the Chief or the senior officer-in-charqe <br />of any platoon of the Cleveland Division of Airports, <br />Safety and Aircraft Rescue Firefighting Unit, Citv of <br />North Olmsted shall, to the extent it is able to do Bo <br />without, in its sole opinion, imperiling the safety of <br />its citizens and property and without establishinq any <br />station or locating any equipment outside the City of <br />North Olmsted corporate limits, furnish such pieces of <br />emergency medical service equipment or personnel. <br />II. TERM <br />The term of this Agreement shall commence on , <br />19_, and unless sooner canceled or terminated, shall run for <br />a one (1) year period and shall automatically renew from year <br />to year thereafter, provided, however, that either party may <br />cancel this Agreement upon sixty (60) days prior writteri <br />notice to the other of such intent. <br />III. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PARTIES <br />A. Requesting organization, through its senior officer-in- <br />charge at the location to which dispatched, shall be <br />subject to the orders of the officer-in-charge of the <br />requesting organization at that location. The requestinq <br />organization shall release the responding organization <br />either as soon as and to the extent that it no longer <br />needs the services of the responding organization, or <br />when the responding organization required all or some of <br />such services within the territory which it primarily <br />serves. <br />B. Responding organization shall, while acting pursuant to <br />a request made hereunder, while enqaged in rendering <br />services requested hereunder, including proceeding to or <br />returning from a request, have charge of and <br />responsibility for all movements of its equipment whether <br />such equipment is owned, leased, or otherwise under its <br />control and for all its personnel at the location whether <br />full or part-time employees or volunteers, pursuant to <br />the general direction and authority of the requesting <br />orqanization's senior office-in-charge. <br />C. The parties shall, at mutually convenient times and <br />places, arrange for cooperative training programs for <br />their*firefighters and emergency rescue personnel so as <br />to minimize risk to personal safety and to property. <br />This training shall include as a minimun, aircraft rescue <br />and firefighting, proper handling of flammable materials <br />and a review of sprinkler and other fire protection <br />systems contained in buildings to be protected.
