SCHEDULE A- SCOPE OF r*qC ENGINEERING SERVICES AND REF*,WED MATTERS (continued) <br />Detailed Design Documents (continued): <br />f. Progress meetings will be held with the Client on a monthly basis to discuss pertinent aspects of the projed and <br />the schedule. An updated status report will be submitted to the City Enpneer at prior to the each scheduled <br />meeting date. Also, requests from the Client for updated or intermediate progress information will be responded <br />to prompdy. <br />B. CONSTRUCTION PHASE <br />1. Construction Administration/Coordination: Malcolm Pirnie will function as the day-to-day administrator of the <br />construction work on behalf of the Client and will coordinate the construction activities between the Client and the <br />Contractor(s). This will include responding to questions of the Contrador(s) and providing clarifications and <br />interpretations of the contract documents; observing the progress and the quality of the work to determine, ia general, <br />if the work is proceeding in accordance with the contract documents and construction schedule; preparing routine change <br />orders as required; reviewing the Contractor(s) application for payment and recommending for payment the amount owed <br />the Contractor(s) for progress aad final payment; and conducting a final inspection of the projed for compliance with <br />the information given in the contract documents. <br />2. Shop Drawing Handling, Mazking and Distribution: Upon receipt of the Contrador(s) shop drawings, the submittals will <br />be logged in and distributed for review. The progress of the submittal reviews will be monitored to ensure timely review <br />completion. Upon completing the shop drawing reviews, the reviewer's comments will be noted on additional copies of <br />the submittal for distribution to the Client, the Contrador(s) and the resident projed representatives. <br />3. Shop Drawing Technical Review: Shop Drawings, diagrams, illustrations, catalog data, schedules, samples and test results <br />which the Contractor(s) are required to submit will be checked for compliance with the iaformation given ia the contract <br />documents. Other data and certificates as required by the contract documents such as operation and maintenance <br />instructions, schedules, guarantees, bonds, and certificates of inspection will also be reviewed. <br />4. Chair and Condud Project Meetings: The preconstruction conference, progress meetings and other job conferences will <br />be chaired and conducted by Malcolm Pirnie in company with the Client. The schedule, agenda for such meetings, and <br />the minutes of the meeting will be prepared and distn'buted by Malcolm Pirnie. <br />5. Project Representation: <br />a. Malcolm Pirnie will provide eight hours per week of resident project representation as necessary dwing construction <br />endiag December 31, 1994. <br />b. The resident projed representative will conduct on-site observadons of the construction work; verify performance of <br />test procedures; startup equipment; maintain job files; prepare field iaspection reports; maintain a set of contrad drawings <br />with changes noted; view applications for payment with the Contrador(s); and conduct final inspections of the work <br />provided by each bid package with the Client. <br />5. Record Drawings: The contract drawings for each bid package will be revised to indicate the changes to the original <br />drawing,s which refled field changes, change orders and other changes which occur during the construction of the projed. <br />After noting the construction changes and field conditions on the drawings, one set of mylar prints and five sets of <br />blueprints of the revised drawings will be submitted to the Client. <br />6. Monthly Reports: Malcolm Pirnie will submit a monthly status report, setting forth the current status of the project, a <br />summary of contract status with respect to overall time schedule and contrad cost, and the number of hours expended <br />by each category (engineer, inspedor, etc.) and by contrad. <br />NODES.C/dji A-3 <br />1943-OOC1
