SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to purchase, through the <br />State Purchasing Program, which was established by R.C. § 125.04 and which the City is <br />authorized to participate in pursuant to Ordinance No. 87-6 and the City Charter: <br />(a) Two (2) Ford F-350, 4WD pick-up trucks, equipped with two (2) Western 8'6" <br />MVP snow plows with deflectors from Valley Ford for the price of <br />$56,282.82; and <br />(b) One (1) 2012 International 7400 SFA truck from Miami Valley International <br />Trucks for the price of $75,727.00; and <br />(c) One (1) snow plow package from Newell Equipment, Inc. for the price of <br />$48,051.00; and <br />SECTION 2: Tlie Mayor is hereby authorized to execute any contract and/or other <br />appropriate documents required by the authorized vendor(s) or the State of Ohio. Any such <br />contract(s) executed by the Mayor shall be in a form and substance consistent with the provisions <br />of this Resolution and approved by the Director of Law. <br />SECTION 3: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and for the <br />further reason that it is necessary that this Ordinance go into effect immediately due to the need <br />for continued, uninterrupted city services to residents and for the additional reason that <br />availability of such trucks will decrease with the passage of time, and further provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: ~~~G2 ~ . ~~ ~ <br />First Reading: " '~ I / <br />Second Reading: ~_ <br />Third Reading: ~ <br />Committee: ~ :t <br />ATTE T.• <br />~~~ <br />MARIE GALLO <br />Clerk of Council <br />APPROVED: 5 / ~- / l l <br />M R KEVIN M.
