SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to purchase, through the State Purchasing Program, which was established by R.C. § 125.04 and which the City is authorized to participate in pursuant to Ordinance No. 87-6 and the City Charter: (a) Two (2) Ford F-350, 4WD pick-up trucks, equipped with two (2) Western 8'6" MVP snow plows with deflectors from Valley Ford for the price of $56,282.82; and (b) One (1) 2012 International 7400 SFA truck from Miami Valley International Trucks for the price of $75,727.00; and (c) One (1) snow plow package from Newell Equipment, Inc. for the price of $48,051.00; and SECTION 2: Tlie Mayor is hereby authorized to execute any contract and/or other appropriate documents required by the authorized vendor(s) or the State of Ohio. Any such contract(s) executed by the Mayor shall be in a form and substance consistent with the provisions of this Resolution and approved by the Director of Law. SECTION 3: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and for the further reason that it is necessary that this Ordinance go into effect immediately due to the need for continued, uninterrupted city services to residents and for the additional reason that availability of such trucks will decrease with the passage of time, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
