CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION N0.2011 - 47 By: Mayor Kennedy A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO PURCHASE FOR SPRINGVALE GOLF COURSE USE, ONE (1) PROCORE 648 AERATOR; ONE (1) JACOBSEN R-311 T ROTARY MOWER; ONE (1) JOHN DEERE 1204TC GREENS MOWER; AND ONE (1) TORO MULTI-PRO 1250 SPRAYER, ALL THROUGH THE STATE PURCHASE PROGRAM; AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO DISPOSE OF SURPLUS PROPERTY VIA TRADE IN; AND LASTL Y A UTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE SUCH PURCHASE, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the Mayor has recommended to this Council that the City purchase one (1) Procore 648 Aerator; one (1) Jacobsen R-311 T Rotary Mower; one (1) John Deere 1204TC Greens Mower; and one (1) Multi-Pro 1250 Sprayer; and WHEREAS, said equipment is essential to the continued provision of service to the patrons at Springvale Golf Course; and WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends that equipment, sold separately through separate vendors as detailed below, be purchased through the State Purchase Program and that surplus property be disposed of via trade in; and WHEREAS, the purchase of said equipment, although in excess of Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000), is not legally required by the City Charter to be competitively bid locally, because said item is being purchased through the State Purchase Program, which is deemed under the City Charter to meet the Charter requirements for competitive bidding; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to purchase the hereinbefore referenced equipment through the State Purchase Program, while also disposing of surplus property and further to authorize the Mayor to execute all documents necessary to effectuate said purchase. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to purchase, through the State Purchasing Program, which was established by R.C. § 125.04 and which the City is authorized to participate in pursuant to Ordinance No. 87-6 and the City Charter: (a) One (1) Procore 648 Aerator from Century Equipment for the price of $19,617.17;
