WHEREAS, it is accordingly the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of <br />Planning and Development to make application for said funding, and to authorize the Mayor to <br />accept the grant if awarded. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That this Council does hereby authorize the Director of Planning and <br />Development to prepare, sign and submit an application to the Northeast Ohio Areawide <br />Coordinating Agency (NOACA) on behalf of the City of North Olmsted for federal funding for <br />the Citywide Traffic Signal System Project. <br />SECTION 2: That this Council does further authorize the Mayor to accept financial <br />assistance /grant funding that may be awarded by and through the application to NOACA and to <br />execute all contract documents if so awarded. <br />SECTION 3. That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety, and welfare, and for the <br />further reason it is necessary that this legislation go into effect immediately in order that the City <br />may make a timely application for funds (December 1, 2011 deadline), and further, provided it <br />receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of the Council, it shall take effect and <br />be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: ~~'~' /~l ~~~ ~~ ~~ <br />ATT T.• <br />~~ ~~~ <br />MARIE GALLO <br />Clerk of Council <br />APPROVED: t ~ /~(; ~:~~/ <br />~L <br />YOR KEVIN M.
