(2) If a parking ticket is not paid within a seventy-two hour period pursuant to the <br />.? procedure provided in paragraph (a), then the Police Department shall issue at least one (1) <br />written communication to the registered owner of the motor vehicle that was issued the parking <br />ticket, at the address of registration on record with the Bureau of Motor Vehicles, and therein <br />advise the registered owner of the unpaid parking ticket. Such written communication shall be <br />forwarded by regular mail and shall further advise that any unpaid parking ticket will be <br />forwarded to the Rocky River Municipal Court or the City of North Olmsted Mayor's Court, <br />by a date specific, not less than ten (10) days from the date of such correspondence, for further <br />proceedings and prosecution of the parking violation, subject to the imposition of Court costs. <br />Unpaid parking violations may then proceed to Rocky River Municipal Court or the City of <br />North Olmsted Mayor's Court upon the issuance of a uniform traffic citation and subject to all <br />procedures therein. Such parking violations thereafter shall be subject to the penalty provided in <br />subsection (b)(1) hereof and all provisions incorporated herein. <br />SECTION 2: That any ordinance, or part of ordinance, in conflict or inconsistent with <br />this Ordinance, is, to the extent of any such conflict or inconsistency, repealed. Conflicting or <br />inconsistent provisions of any Ordinance shall be corrected at re-codification. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and further <br />for the reason that it is necessary that this Ordinance go into effect immediately in order to have <br />in place a revised standard for the operation of the Mayor's Court in January of 2013; and further <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take <br />effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: First Reading: / L.?.W I ? <br />Second Reading: <br />Third Reading: ? <br />Committee: <br />ATTEST: <br />MA IE GALLO LOUIS J.
