CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2013 -68 <br />BY: Council Member Orlowski <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 172.01 OF THE TAX <br />INCENTIVE REVIEW CODE IN ORDER TO INCREASE THE <br />TERM IN OFFICE FOR COUNCIL MEMBERS TO FOUR (4) <br />YEARS, AS AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, the Intra-Governmental Committee of City Council reviewed the <br />term of office for Council members appointed to and serving on the Tax Incentive <br />Review Council and recommended an increase to four (4) years; and <br />WHEREAS, it is accordingly the desire of this Council to amend Section 172.01 <br />to increase the term for Council members serving to four (4) years. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That Section 172.01 ("Creation and Membership") of the Tax <br />Incentive Review Code, w-hich presently reads as follows: ' <br />?.n. <br />? 172A1 CREATION AND MEMBERSHIP. <br />There is hereby created the North Olmsted Tax Incentive Review Council <br />(hereinafter referred to as the "TIRC"), comprised of the following members: <br />(a) The Mayor, or his; her designee; <br />(b) A member of Council appointed by the President of Council; <br />(c) The Cuyahoga County Auditor or his/her designee; <br />(d) The Director of Finance, or his/her designee; <br />(e) One individual appointed jointly by the North Olmsted Board of <br />Education and the Polaris Joint Vocational School District; and <br />(t) Two members of the public appointed by the Mayor with the concurrence <br />of the City Council. <br />At least four members of the TIRC shall be residents of the City of North <br />Olmsted, and at least one of the two public members appointed by the Mayor shall be a <br />minority. As used in this section, a"minority" is an individual who is African-American, <br />Hispanic, or Native American. Notwithstanding the foregoing provisions, if a member of <br />the North Olmsted Housing Council is appointed to membership on the TIRC, then his or <br />her term on the TIRC shall expire on the same date that his/her term on the North <br />Olmsted Housing Council expires. <br />(Ord. 2007-8. Passed 2-20-07.) <br />BE AMENDED AND, AS AMENDED, SHALL READ AS FOLLOWS: <br />172.01 CREATION AND MEMBERSHIP. <br />There is hereby created the North Olmsted Tax Incentive Review Council <br />(hereinafter referred to as the "TIKC"), comprised of the following members: <br />(a) The Mayor, or his/her designee; <br />(b) A member of Council appointed by the President of Cuuncil; <br />(c) The Cuyahoga County Auditor or his/her designee;
