? <br />? <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2006 - 160 <br />BY: Mayor O'Grady <br />? <br />? <br />A RESOL iITION A UTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY LIFE <br />SERVICES TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR CLEANING SERVICES AT THE <br />RECREATION CENTER AND FOR RESTROOMS ONLYAT NORTH OLMSTED <br />PARKAND BARTON/BRADLEYPARK, FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR <br />TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR SAID CLEANING SERVICES WITH THE <br />LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER, SUBJECT TO APPROVAL BY THE BOARD OF <br />CONTROL, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCYAS AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, bid specifications for cleaning services at the Recreation Center and for restrooms <br />only at the North Olmsted Park and Barton/Bradley Park are on file in the office of the Director of <br />Community Life Services; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Community Life Services <br />to advertise for bids, and, to further authorize the Mayor, upon approval of the Board of Control, to enter <br />into a contract far said cleaning services with the lowest and best bidder; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That the Director of Community Life Services be and he is hereby authorized to <br />advertise for bids for cleaning services at the Recreation Center and for restrooms only at the North <br />Olmsted Park and Barton/Bradley Park in accordance with the specifications now on file in his office and <br />that further, upon approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a <br />contract with the lowest and best bidder for said cleaning services. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately <br />necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the further reason that it is <br />necessary for the legislation to immediately go into effect so that the bidding process may be completed <br />before the expiration of the current contract on December 31, 2006, and further provided it receives the <br />affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in farce immediately <br />upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: &,4? /7 100 9 <br />A ST <br />r 1.,c,uc? v? <br />BARBARA L.
